Our sick little munchkin
Here is Jaxon and Daniel resting after medicine. Jaxon has been filling icky since Friday, so we took him to the doctor, whom I wasn't really pleased with, but we're continuing the medicine anyway. She said "he has a tickle in his nose." Okay.....now what.....
So this morning I just wasn't feeling like he was feeling any better, so I decided to take to the Emergent Care facility in Terre Haute. We waited 45 minutes (after filling out all the admin papers and everything) only to be told "we don't accept infants". I was very unhappy; the lady must have just assumed I carried a carseat around for fun! So, we landed in the Emergency Room. After a complete examination by a doctor (much more pleased), he has an upper respiratory infection. Luckily, it's only in his nose and mouth and hasn't developed in the lungs! So, we're taking tylenol and cy-mes for the stuffiness and sneezing. This picture is nap time after taking medicine.
Update after doctor's appointments. Jaxon now weighs 13 pounds 15.1 ounces and is 24 1/2 inches long! He is wearing some 6 months outfits (the blue one is). He's getting to be a big boy fast! I have to take off work tomorrow to stay home w/ him and Daniel's taking Tuesday off. As long as he doesn't have a fever as late as Tuesday, he can return to daycare on Wednesday.

Here is Jaxon in his Carhartt bibs. I was trying to figure out a good outfit for him to wear yesterday and wondered if these would fit! They're size 6 months too and fit pretty well. Actually he won't be able to wear them for long! He also has on his John Deere boots and you can't see it, but there is a tractor on his shirt! He's getting so big and he's starting to interact with Daniel and I. He can smile on a regular basis now, and even coos. I really think he's trying to giggle, because he'll be sleeping and you'll hear this noise and look over and he's smiling really big. We can't wait until he starts laughing!
Jaxon loves to lay on his changing table and look out both windows. (The changing table is in the corner of the room and has 2 windows on each wall). He really enjoys the sunshine and watching the sky (I guess?!) Since the sun was shining I decided he needed his sunglasses. I was busy doing something in the room and turned around and somehow he managed to push them up on his forehead like this. He thought it was neat, and started cooing and smiling. I can not wait for him to giggle!

All Smiles!
I really think he was trying hard to giggle too...
Jaxon was wearing his new shirt (since it finally fits) from Nucor Steel, where his Papaw Long works, so we had to take a picture of him so he'll get hung on the wall at Nucor with all the other babies! And much to my surprise, he was more than willing to smile for me with the camera. It seems like everything he smiles, I don't have my camera!

Cereal and My First Play Date!
He actually seemed to like it, we only gave him 5 or 6 bites, because I didn't want him to get a tummy ache. As you can see...it put him to sleep right in his high chair!
On Feb. 7, 2008, Jaxon had his very first play date with all the babies that were born very close in age to him. From Left to Right: Layton Chandler (born the same day as Jaxon), Jaxon, Jori Beasley (born November 27th), Haley Wildridge (born October 12th) and Ruby Cummings (born November 2nd).
This is Jaxon after we got home from the playdate. We stripped him down to his diaper and he relaxed in front of the TV watching Baby Einstein Colors and enjoyed a bottle! He was pooped from a hard day with all the ladies!
This is Jaxon right before we left the play date. He was all ready to go in his carseat and had this "deer in the headlights" look.

My first pair of Nike Shoes!
These are the ones we found at Finish Line in the mall that were small enough for his little feet!
They're size 2 -- so small!
And of course, Daniel finds matching "daddy" shoes, as he called them.
So we had to get them too!
Of course, once we got home, I made them both try them on for a picture (before the shoes get filthy dirty!)

It snowed!
He does sleep with his hands straight up like this. I wouldn't think it would be comfy, but hey, don't wake a sleeping child...especially this one...especially when he's in his big boy bed!
I got him this new Boppy play station today at Once Upon a Child. He seems to enjoy it (he loves Boppy pillows, he has 2 now!) and he did grab one of the toys and pulled and it scared him I think because he started kicking his legs like "oh no, now what do I do with it?"
