Jaxon's friend Jori Beasley showed up at the Relay for Life yesterday too. They had a good time playing together. Jori is 1 month and 4 days older. She's sitting up on her own. Jaxon really wants to, but he just doesn't have his balancing act together yet! Soon, though. She just loved him and they smiled at each other. Just remember, bald is beautiful!
We were told by our doctor at our last appointment to start him on baby foods one meal a day. So, at dinner time we cut his formula intake in half and add on 2 types of baby foods. So far, his favorite is Prunes...no joke. He loves them, and you can't feed him fast enough. Other things he likes but not as much: sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, and green beans. This week we're going to try pears and carrots! At his 4 month appt. he was 19 pounds and 27 inches long!!!
This was Jaxon at my dad's surprise 50th birthday party. We took along his CARS chair for him to sit in and he just loved it. He was actually "talking" in the picture ... he enjoys doing that now. So sometimes it's hard to catch a smile because he's always talking to me! And if you ignore him, he gets louder and louder until you acknowledge him!
Another fun spring (very warm) day so we were in a tank top ... drooling all over it of course playing in our piano. He's figured out there is toys on both side and how he can spin his seat around and around! He's finally long enough (or tall enough) that his feet reach the piano keys at the bottom flat footed. So he's able to keep the music going on his own!
I had to find the most efficient way of transporting both Jaxon and a load of laundry from our bedroom to the laundry room. So we decided he would start helping out with chores around the house to earn his keep :-) ... He thought being in the laundry basket was the funniest thing. In the first two pictures, he's either laughing or talking. He was kicking his legs a lot and couldn't figure out where they were, so he just laughed! The last picture he may look mad, but he finally found his blanket and was having a deep conversation with it!
Daniel bought Jaxon this new hat at Baby Gap yesterday along with the shirt he has on. Jaxon just thought it was the funniest thing to have this hat on, he usually laughs at all his hats, except his winter hat that he has to wear because it's cold out!
This was just shortly after a bath. Jaxon thinks he's Superman, apparently.
No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. President Bill Clinton came to Clinton, IN (coincidence, I think not) to campaign for Hillary. So, of course I stood in line for 2 hours in the cold to see him. Yes, this is how close I was to him and yes, I did shake his hand. Talk about history! :)
Kind of a freakishly close up picture, I know...but I just want you to realize how close I got to a former President! I'm stoked about it.
I put Jaxon in his crib yesterday, in just a diaper (he is starting to enjoy being naked!) and gave him the red fox from Dr. Seuss...he went nuts. He started attacking it and trying to eat it. Here are 2 pictures from this ...
Our neighbors Roy and De-Ann just got married in Hawaii!!!! They brought Daniel and I back a fresh Hawaiian pineapple and a t-shirt and they brought Jaxon this adorable little Hawaiian outfit (hat not included, we already had it) ... I tried it on just for fun (it's a size 1T...but not all that too big on him!) We're definitely ready for warmer weather!
